His Plans Are Greater

Himanshu

The Bible teaches: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11.

Sometimes we are unsure of our own plans or even of God’s plans for us. But, we need to remember that God always has good plans for us.

At the youth retreat this weekend, one of the guys began to feel ill at night. By the next morning he was so sick, he couldn’t even get out of bed. At lunchtime, somehow he managed to get up and come and sit at the dining table. But, even there, he just lay his head on the table and said he would not be able to eat anything but toast.

He later told me that he was feeling so ill at that time that he had already planned that he would have to skip work for the next 2 days and stay home to recover.

Seeing his plight, I asked him if we could pray together. We prayed. He seemed to be the same. But we thanked God anyway.

A few minutes later, everyone else joined us for lunch. This boy sat up. He ate his toast. And within minutes, he was asking for more food! He had a big smile on his face and said he felt good!

Praise God! Jesus had healed him. Although the boy had planned on being sick for a few days, God had better plans for him, “plans to prosper [him] and not to harm [him].”

In the same way, no matter what you are going through, and no matter what you foresee the future to hold, always remember, that He has better plans for you! Trust Him.
